Millionaire, Entrepreneur and Marketing guru Carl Hopkins recently visited
Runshaw Business Centre to deliver a business workshop to LEAD delegates
focusing on various marketing and sales issues including the retention and
reactivation of customers. A regular face in the media, Carl is well known for
his appearance in the popular Channel 4 reality television programme Secret
Millionaire which saw him living undercover in the former North East mining
town of Easington. Carl has nearly 25
years of business and marketing experience. He was invited for the Richard and
Judy ‘This Morning’ show and has also given many radio interviews. He has
appeared as an expert guest on BBC 1’s popular debate show ‘The Big Questions’
and have made several appearances on BBC Radio Leeds. As a resident agony uncle
for marketing publication The Drum, he regularly dispenses straight-talking
advice to those in need of salvation from the struggles, challenges and
concerns of agency life.
Carl kicked off his session at Runshaw with a
presentation about his own career, depicting the highs and lows of buying and
selling his former business, marketing agency Judith Donovan Associates (JDA). He
then went on to speak about his current businesses and the tools that he uses
to recruit and promote business for them. In the end, he delivered a
presentation on how to retain and reactivate customers using both on and
offline techniques.
Project Manager for LEAD, Tom Gorman commented, “It was a real pleasure to meet Carl. The
feedback from the delegates was extremely positive. It was an entertaining and
an informative presentation with a lot of useful information for the delegates
to take back into their own organisations.”
Rob Day, Head of School for Leadership &
Enterprise Development at Runshaw College added, “Carl’s presentation was brilliant and it gave some excellent ideas to
the delegates. We look forward to seeing Carl at Runshaw again.”
