The Red Cat is by far the best restaurant in the area, the food is excellent and the front of house service puts it on a par with many 1 Michelin star restaurants. The food is well priced and it has a homely feel to the rustic setting, the wine list is well put together with a good range of wines. The house wines are also pretty good , watch this space The Red Cat with get its third AA rosette very soon , and in the not to distant future with get a Michelin Star it really is that good. People who like huge portions of food are better to stay away, however if you want well balanced maximum flavour to each component, then give it a try.

I went here over the summer with my other half and I must say, we were both delighted to have found something a bit special. It's is the kind of cuisine that serves little portions of high quality, perfectly cooked and well-presented loveliness on a plate. The scallops are divine, as are the steaks and in fact everything we tried. I have a small appetite so am happy with a dose of quality over quantity, although my partner isn't and had to order a couple of side dishes in order to sate himself. However, we both agree that the food was sensational and the service was second-to-none. A full meal with drinks will set you back £70-80 for two, roughly, but it is certainly worth it.

An excellent restaurant and one of our favourites. Superb, imaginative and well presented dishes. Certainly not for those who like to see a mound of food on the plate, this is more about flavour, texture and an overall experience. Can never fault the service, a good wine selection and in terms of consistency this place beats any i have been to for getting everything right every time. Well worth a visit, and they do 3 courses before 7pm for £20 which is a bargain for this quality

ReportIf I could rate The Red Cat higher than 5 stars I really would do. A really good restaurant that does excellent food. They desserts are more than amazing and the service is good.
As for the price, it isn't the cheapest however the quality is very high.
Perfect for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries.
