Our Disraeli has been saved from the Auction and has kindly been given back to Chorley. All cleaned up and restored by Rawcliffes and good to go. We now need to find a New home to locate him.
The monument Dates back to 1886 when it was erected by The Primrose League (The Ladies Section of the Conservative Party) in Honour of the Prime Minister and on Primrose Day, April 20th was laid with a wreath of Primroses to commemorate his death (19th April 1881)
Send your suggestions for its new home to Chorley Council 01257 515151 ~ contact@chorley.gov.uk ~ tweet @ChorleyCouncil
