The

drugs, which have now been sent off for forensic testing, were found at the

property on Station Road

after officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Sgt

Matthew Robinson said: “We executed this warrant as a result of information we

received from the local community.

“Any

information we receive about drugs will be acted upon.  We will simply not

tolerate the supply and use of drugs.”

A

30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug with

intent to supply and has been released on police bail until 7 April pending

further enquiries.

A

39-year-old woman received a caution for possessing a class C controlled drug.

Following

the raid, which was carried out at 8pm on Wednesday 26 January, leaflets were

distributed to residents living in the area to let them know the reason for the

police activity.

If

you have information about drugs in you neighbourhood, call the police on 0845

1 25 35 45 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
