CCTV Footage
in Leyland are appealing for information after
a Chinese takeaway and adjoining flat were targeted by burglars on Monday 17th
January.
The
offence took place at a flat above the Happy House Chinese on School Lane,
Leyland between 4.40pm and 8.10pm.
It
is believed three men have forced their way into the premises through the back
of the Chinese takeaway which was closed at the time. The men have then made
their way into the flat above, and took a steel safe containing cash which was
attached to the wall.
The
offenders have then gone downstairs into the takeaway business premises and
have pulled out cash drawer from the till and removed the money from inside
before escaping through the back door.
The
offenders escaped with approximately £2,500 in cash and a distinctive 24 carrot
yellow gold beaded engraved chain necklace valued at around £1,600.
Police
have released CCTV stills of three men they are keen to speak with in
connection with the burglary and a dark coloured car seen in the area around
the time of the offence.
DC
Sam Matthews from South Ribble CID said: “I would urge people to take a close
look at the CCTV images and for anyone with any information about this burglary
to get in contact police.
“I
am also keen to speak with anyone that has been offered for sale a gold
necklace, similar to the one pictured.”
There
are no clear descriptions of the offenders but they are all believed to be men
and one is thought to have white or very light blonde hair.
