Massa's never changes
I 've been going to Massa's for ice cream for about 40yrs and it's always been superb. I live in Cornwall now but every other year when i come home to Chorley i always have to visit. May Massa's go on for many more generations to discover.

Good Old Days
LOL when I was at school aged about 13yrs-15yrs(1970/72) I had a part time job at nights and weekends making Massa's ice cream as much as I could eat, Annie was a fab lady, she made the custard and I froze it in the machine and packed it into the 2 gallon containers for sale in the ice-cream vans, also remember Annies assistant Kathleen and of course Austin, as I worked in the ice-cream van at school during dinner and at home time 4pm at Southlands , and he also used to take me fishing with his son to the lakes some weekends, good old days

Utterly delicious
This is by far the best icecream in Chorley; I think it's called Fredericks... Anyway, there are tonnes of flavours to choose from and I'm yet to sample one that's not yummy! The central branch gets really busy in the summer so if you want to find yourself a seat outdoors I suggest getting there at the crack of dawn! But that's understandable as it's right in the centre of town. Now summer's over I will be having a hot chocolate with my sundae, to keep me warm (not too healthy though, but hey!) as they are also delicious. The other option to enjoy their icecream in the warmth is to take out a tub, which is very popular.

I love visiting Massa's for so many reasons. Mainly..
I love visiting Massa's for so many reasons. Mainly the amazing ice-cream but also for there American diner style decor which is great.
You can not only buy ice-cream in cones or pots. But you can actually have meals here like Lasagna and Chips or you can have a range of toasties. You can also buy 2 litre tubs of massa's ice-cream to take home, which is such a good idea as there ice-cream is like no other.By f_houghton242 at 17:10 on 22/02/10
